Like many other refugees from Corporate America, Thomas Varghese didn’t set out to be an entrepreneur. But a last-minute appointment with a physician who had just started his practice and needed a strong online presence led Thomas to a brand new career.
After creating a web presence and internet marketing package for his doctor, his dentist and then his chiropractor, Thomas left his corporate job and struck out on his own. In 2010, Thomas created eBizUniverse, a full service digital marketing agency specializing in social media management, internet marketing, website design and mobile apps.
The 12-person team was named one of 2017’s Top Ten “Best Digital Marketing Agencies in Chicago” by Expertise, and serves a wide range of clients including healthcare providers, attorneys and business-to-business and business-to-consumer providers in Chicago, Houston, Miami, New York City and Philadelphia. eBizUniverse will be expanding to Dallas/Fort Worth in 2018.
Before starting eBizUniverse, Thomas was a manager for the corporate level customer relations management team of Hitachi Consulting in Chicago, a business strategy and IT consulting firm serving clients around the world. His clients included such Fortune 500 corporations as Pepsi, Starbucks and Boeing.
Prior to that, Thomas was a senior consultant for Inforte Corp and Deloitte, in Chicago, where he provided customer data implantation strategies for such firms as BlueCrossBlueShield and Abbott Laboratories.
Thomas is a member of the Greater O’Hare Chamber of Commerce and the Greater O’Hare Networking Executives. He holds a B.S. in electronics engineering from Karnataka University in Dharwad, India.
