When her father showed signs of cognitive impairment, Annette Campbell lived the harsh reality facing many families today – the emotional, financial and physical burden of caring for a loved one with a progressive, degenerative disease.
Although Annette was running a senior home care agency when her father’s condition deteriorated, there came a time he could no longer be cared for at home and he was placed in a memory care facility. Because he didn’t have long term care insurance, his care – which cost many thousands of dollars a month – was paid directly out of his remaining estate and from the proceeds of the sale of his home.
This experience motivated Annette to become a licensed health and life insurance agent so other families could be protected from financial loss should they find them-selves in a similar situation.
Her agency, Home Care Assistance of Denton, provides non-medical caregiving and companion services on a one-on-one basis for clients with various levels of care needs, including the specialized care required by those dealing with Alzheimer’s Dis-ease, Parkinson’s, stroke recovery, post-hospital recovery or hospice.
In addition, Annette is Branch Sales Leader of AmeriLife of Texas, LLC, where she provides a wide variety of health, long term care and life insurance products to consumers.
She was previously Senior Career Education Manager for Wolters Kluwer, where she managed $1.5M territory in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri selling educational software solutions, e-learning, and print products to schools, primarily in nursing and health professions.
Annette holds a Bachelor of Business Management degree from LeTurneau University.
